About Kate

I learned the importance of a well-appointed room from my mother who gave me a can of paint in high school and allowed me to stencil the walls of my bedroom. I hand-quilted bedspreads, added an antique, roll-top desk and regularly re-arranged furniture until the bedroom felt like me.

My love of interior design further developed as I had my own children and we outgrew each home. Spaces need order and beauty and I relished the opportunity to find solutions.

I studied Viola Performance at Indiana University and most recently, Interior Design at the New York School of Interior Design. But I believe the true education has come from living a full life in beloved spaces: our homes.

Located in San Diego, my boutique design studio, Kate Sparrow Interiors focuses on creating interiors that are personal and unique. Let’s build your dream space and have some fun!
