Situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, we wanted this new build to feel layered and lived-in. Keeping the walls white allowed reclaimed wood beams, wide-plank floors and walls of windows to be the real stars. The family wanted a decidedly vintage feel so we repurposed a library bookcase for kitchen cabinets. An old dresser became a bathroom vanity and Milwaukee street lamps were re-wired as kitchen pendants. This house welcomes sandy feet, found objects, hiking boots and all that lake life brings.
